A man who divorces his wife (Sarandon) and re-marries a younger woman (Roberts), has two children with (Sarandon). Sarandon's character learns she has cancer and undergoes treatment while despising her younger replacement. Sarandon and Roberts eventually become friends and so on. The movie made me realize I miss my mom, even though she is still here. I'm 19 going on 20 on Monday (June 25th) and I live with both of my parents. Yet I still miss my mom, and there are times I know I won't have with her even though she is still here. Even if I could spend every hour with her for the rest of her life it won't be enough, and selfishly enough I want her around for ever. I love my mom more than anything else, even more than the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. I would do anything for my mom, I would probably even kill for her, because she means so much to me. There are times when she pisses me off, but I try to think of how short our lives are to be angry at one another. I know that one day my mom will leave my life forever, and I am scared of that day and the day after and the day after. I have no idea what I will do when she dies what I do know is that a lot of crying will be involved, but I don't know how I will go on. I've had nightmares where I imagine that she will never come home, and I woke up and cried. I don't cry much but for my mother I would cry, because she means so much to me and that is all that matters. I just hope that other people can realize the special relationship a person can have with their mother. That is all I have to say right now. Thanks for reading this and pass it on to your mother if you think they might enjoy it.

-KenGkghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-55448424234046053412007-06-17T22:23:00.000-04:002007-06-17T22:46:44.252-04:00Am I Bovvered?

I found this today after I watched a channel 4 movie "The Trial of Tony Blair" the movie was interesting and I don't know if Blair, played by Robert Lindsay. I don't know if his Tony Blair was the hero of the movie. However, I felt sorry for Blair in this movie. He was a very sympathetic character in the movie. Now please don't attack me for this I don't follow British politics I know that Blair is the current PM who is stepping down on the 27th of June (two days after my birthday), and Gordon Brown is the heir apparent as PM (prime minister).

This isn't the reason I did this post, I just wanted to share a laugh. From what I've read with my two eyes there are a lot of people that are pissed off, going as far as threatening to cancel their HBO subscription. Well I like Entourage, so I won't be canceling.

I myself who has never really followed mob movies/tv except for, of course, The Godfather didn't come to the Sopranos until midway through the third season when I pleaded my parents to get HBO. I actually told them I would pay for half. I learned of the Sopranos through my cousin and hearing other people talk about it. From my starting point, I loved the show and following Tony around and wandering who's going to be offed this season.

The Sopranos was more than just the mob and murder though, and that is what made it so prolific. I don't want to say that it made an anti-hero a hero, I don't believe that. Tony Soprano was like most Americans, had a family with 2 kids and a wonderful wife. Tony's exception he happened to be a crime boss that happened to have a few personal issues, but who doesn't in this fucked up world right?

Tony's relationship with the viewer was what made him such a good character. That is why he isn't an anti-hero, he is just a guy that we could relate with, looking out for his family be it a business family or his own family. That is exactly why he couldn't be killed off, when it came down to it killing off Tony would be a lot like Killing a bit of ourselves. Having the show end the way it did, with him and the family was the best way for it to end because when it comes down to it, we can't stop believing can we?kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1166911384993071142006-12-23T17:03:00.000-05:002006-12-23T17:03:05.036-05:00President Clinton's Last Days in OfficeIts time for when Presidential Videos were funny and not awkward. Kevin Tillman wrote an open letter addressing the lack of checks on the government. It is a very energizing piece, especially since an Army Ranger wrote it. I think the fact that someone from the military wrote it should capture people's attention and hopefully it will make everyone think, because our country has gone somewhere that none of us should have allowed, but yet we were brought here by our apathy.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1161035464780122042006-10-16T17:45:00.000-04:002006-10-16T17:51:04.800-04:00Free Radicals: Twice Weekly 1Introducing Twice Weekly.

Twice Weekly is a Free Radicals production that gives interesting political news twice weekly, usually Tuesday and Thursday (because its easy for me). We are getting our influence from "Real Time with Bill Maher," which is a program that comes on HBO Friday nights at 11.00 pm. However, since my cousin and I do not have the clout like Bill Maher, the netcast will mainly just be me and him and in segments.

I already have a friend that has helped with the theme, the theme and creator will be introduced later on, once we have worked out the creative commons for it. I love the idea of using the netcast medium for political discussion because it really utilizes free speach as a right and has a general levling of the playing ground for everybody.

Until then, this has been your Free Radical KenG.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1159747548590466762006-10-01T19:49:00.000-04:002006-10-01T20:05:48.606-04:00Don't Ask Don't Tell.

I am an avid watcher of The Situation Room on CNN. Last week Jack Cafferty, the shows curmguin and honest commentator, brought up a good point: Should the US Military Repeal the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy. Now the history behind this policy is a bit mixed up, people believe that Clinton didn't push this policy he was given this policy. Clinton wanted to allow openly gay americans to serve in the United States Armed Services, similar to the practice in England. However the Congress only went as far to allow closeted members of the armed forces community to serve. Not that big of a deal right? Wrong, in the past five years gay officers crucial to the "War on Terror" have been dismissed for being homosexuals. Many of these officers either speak arabic or have a connection to middle east and arab intelligence. At a time when a heavy concentration of our troops are in the Middle East, I don't think we need the Army needs to dismiss them due to who they have sexual relations with.

To those that say that openly gay Armed service memebers is a bad idea because troops are going to think that their comrade is going to try to feel them up during combat have no steady argument. When women were first allowed to serve in the military many of the Army Brass argued that there would be a drop in military productivity but there wasn't. If anything knowing a deep secret about a comrade would tighten the comradery between the troops not harm it. You may ask, why, well if a homosexual tells his comrade that he is gay, it shows that he trusts his peer and could create even more trust in the unit. Now you may disagree with that, and actually if you do I want to hear it because that is one reason why I do this blog to have debate. If you want to talk to me about it my AIM is Futurepotuskg.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1159670229672888552006-09-30T22:24:00.000-04:002006-09-30T22:42:12.126-04:00Is Walmart Suicide Friendly?
I am sitting here watching George Carlin's HBO Special "Life is Worth Losing." It is quite hilarious, and there are two quotes that got me thinking. The first is "I couldn't commit suicide if my life depended on it," that is just fucking hilarious and good. The second was about a man commiting suicide having to go down to walmart to buy a rope to hang himself. It got me thinking, is walmart suicide/murder friendly?

Look what they have is cheap anti-freeze, jump ropes (to hang oneself with), guns, ammunition, car service, the list can go on. I am asking you to think about this one because isn't it true, you could spend less than a 25 dollars on a murder-suicide. Here is what you could do:

With a jump rope: Kill someone with it and then hang yourself with it

With a gallon of anti-freeze, poison your victim and poison yourself.

With a jump rope and antifreeze: Poison somebody with anti-freeze, and then hang yourself

With a gun, self explanatory kill your victim and then yourself (more than 25 dollars though).

Car service, run over somebody and then drive into a body of water.

Car Service, lock your victim in the trunk and drive off a bridge.

With a hammer and Car Service, beat the hell out of your victim with the hammer, throw them in the trunk and drive the car off the bridge with you in it.

There are many more but that is all I'm putting down right now.

Disclaimer: Theoreticaly: I do not support this activity.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1157933804283093582006-09-10T20:14:00.000-04:002006-09-10T20:16:44.300-04:00National Lampoonkghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1157915598730925292006-09-10T14:47:00.001-04:002006-09-10T15:13:18.746-04:00We the People of the United States of AmericaOver a year after Katrina, after a year of thoughts of how our government should act. I am able to say that I can say that I have a new view on government policy. The past 60 years our government has been all around the world trying to help other people. There is nothing wrong with that policy, but we have to take care of our people first. When I used to hear that I would think that people were selfish; but after Katrina and New Orleans, Shreveport Missisippi, and all of the damage to the Gulf Coast (all places that should be rallying cries for revolution) I've come to the realization that not only does the government look stupid for not being able to help the residents on the gulf coast. And our country looks much worse for the quagmire in Iraq, where we tried to help them and we can't even help ourselves! In Lebanon, Hezzbollah is helping Lebanese citizens re-build their communities after they caused the destruction of their towns. Well its not West Wing, but it is good in its own way. Something struck me funny though, the democratic chairman said that the democrats used to be a "party of ideas." It is is true the democrats had some great ideas welfare reform, equal rights, fair wages, BALANCED BUDGET. Today it seems like the democrats is the party of stupidity, the party could be cashing in on the fact that the republicans are fucking themselves with giant pogo stics. But our stupid ass democrats are just sitting there and they are either fucking themselves while the republicans are getting fucked with the pogo stick or they are screaming some bullshit about how the republicans are this or that. The democrats need to get a fucking brain and tell the public that the Bush Administration is fucking everyone up our collective asses and how the democrats would prevent Bush from fucking us over and over again when the democrats take back the house. But no, the democrats just complain about the minor shit (Iraq is not minor and as you see the democrats aren't really complaining because they don't know how to approach it). On Iraq all the democrats have to do is say "When we first receieved the information about Iraq, we like the rest of the world thought it was trying to obtain WMDs. We know now that this is not true and we now know that the president did not try everythigng to prevent the Iraq war, and therefore we also regret voting for the resolution that gave President Bush to go to war with Iraq." It is that simple, the democrats have to push that out and then they can push their agenda, once they figure out what it is. I would be happy to help them with the agenda, because the democratic party definately needs new blood.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1138373332628146402006-01-27T09:44:00.000-05:002006-01-27T09:48:52.743-05:00Security Alert to all Windows Users...There is an exploit to Microsoft Windows that allows an image or video to have executable code in it, this code could be executed by running the video or image in your windows system commonly run with Windows Media player. So I roll down the window becuase the panhandler was right there and was about to give the guy money and the lyric about Michael's look came on, and the guy said "I don't need your money." So the dude most have thought I was gay, and I have been even more alienated by these conservative christians, because they judged my orientation based on a song by a band. But hey im cool with it, its their loss.

KenG outkghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1132067111795117782005-11-15T09:55:00.000-05:002005-11-15T10:05:11.846-05:00What in the Hell? While sitting in the student center at state I generally watch the news for some interesting information. Normally this holds true, and when it doesnt i take out my headphones and plug into my laptop and listen to some tunes (since my goddamn iPod fucked up again). Well Im currently listen to No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom Album and I see some damn news on a fucking turle/turtoise that turned 175 years old. I dont believe in slow news days, so there is no reason for me to see a story on a 175 year old turtle. (get the pun slow? I know its not funny because Im not typically the one to "make a funny" however you do that) So that is it for now, I guess I fell into the trap of MSNBC and reported their story on the fucking turtle/turtoise.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1131921081243893372005-11-13T17:31:00.000-05:002005-11-13T17:31:21.560-05:00As a democrat, I would hope that the DNC is getting its shit together. Unfortunately I feel that our wins on Tuesday night had more influence of the crumbling of the republican party. I would hope that by the midterms in 2006 we democrats can have a clear message and have a more centrist campaign, because that is how many Americans feel themselves to be, centrists. That is how we can really get our shit together, because many of the the pundits (hold on im one too damn!) are right we are just the anti-republican party. We shouldn't be known as the anti-republican party, we should be known as the Democratic Party. If we support something, lets support it damnit.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9147763.post-1131636886964217912005-11-10T10:34:00.000-05:002005-11-10T10:34:47.020-05:00The Marriage Problem:Disclaimer: This is satire not to be taken seriously.

Every year countless numbers of men are tricked into slavery, this slavery is the marriage. Marriage to a woman just so he can be tricked into getting "sure pussy" from their wife. These men are misguided, there is no guarantee that they will get a continuous supply, and what happens if something happens to the man's wife? Should he continue his slave labor just to hold out on getting some? All of this asks questions, but the real question that should be asked is: is this why gay people want to get married, to be tricked into continuous servitude. And if this is the case, who is the one that tricks another? I dont know I am not gay so I cannot answer the question. I do beg of you everyone out there, however, do not get married if you think you are going in it for the "sure thing." Please dont do it just for the it.

I Remind you this post was satirical, meant to be read with light heartwood laughter.kghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11552040370460040778noreply@blogger.com0
